Lupine Blooms

Lupine Blooms

Evening sun lighting up Lupines in Redwood National Park

Wildflower season is underway and the western coast provides ample amount of blooms. Last year in particular was pretty good. As part of a pacific northwest trip, managed to see a whole lot of them. This one though was completely accidental.

We had just finished shooting some amazing light in the redwoods and just driving along the bald hills road and saw a large field of lupines. A quick stop and luckily the sun was at the right angle to provide this view. If it had been couple of mins late, then the sun would have dipped behind that hill and there wouldn’t be any shot.

Hopefully I’ll get lucky to see some this year too.
