Nanuq’s portrait using the new Nikon Z 24 – 70 mm f/2.8 lens
Recently I got the new Nikon z 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. I already had the the F version of it, but with Z7, I used to use it using a F2Z adapter. The F lens works flawlessly on Z9. The only issue I had was the overall weight it adds. The lens is heavy and with the adapter, it makes it every more heavier. The actual weight in lbs would be less, but while using, it certainly feels a lot heavier.
I’ve a bunch of travel lined up for the year, so this additional weight add more to an already heavy camera bag. The new Z lens is much lighter and it adds an additional benefit of being lighter than its predecessor.
Once I got the lens, I had to do a quick test and poor Nanuq was available for me to play around. The lens is slightly sharper than the F, but I’d have to pixel peep to really notice that difference. Here is another shot of him

Overall I’m happy that I’ve a sharp and lighter lens in the bad now 🙂
