Some fun play with a lens zoom.
After shooting some Joshua Tress on Olancha dunes for sunset, still had a long hike back to the car. The wide angle zoom lens (14-30 mm) was still on the camera. Used it to have some fun zooming into the shot. The light wasn’t dark yet to allow me to zoom in, so stopped down to f/22 which allowed me to have a shutter of 1/5 of a second.
Its a fun way to create some abstracts using the zoom feature of the lens. Since the color wasn’t that great, converted it to a B&W image. I like it a bit contrasty for this type of shot and when viewed full screen, its very mesmerizing.
