Pigeon Point Lighthouse Sunset

Pigeon Point Lighthouse Sunset

A bunch of us had recently heard that the Fresnel light at Pigeon Point Lighthouse would be lit and they’d keep it stationary for 5 minutes to allow photographers to take pictures. So we all got excited and when we reached there, we realized the amount of photographers that had already reserved their spot to capture the event.

After managing to squeeze ourselves in, we waited for the event. During this wait, we witnessed some magical sunset. At that time I was shooting with a Nikon D300s and Tokina 14-24 lens. Two things that I did correctly then; one was to shoot in raw and the other was to bracket my shots (as I was bitten by the HDR bug).

While we are stuck at home, this gives a nice opportunity to go through archives and pull some gems out of it.
