Organizing a huge list of picture files are really tiring and boring too. I wish I had embraced my current workflow long time ago – things would have been a lot more simpler. Currently the files get organized in the format of / kind of folder names. At the moment this does the job for me, but back when this was shot, I was just dumping the raw files in some location. It was really hard to find them as I didn’t know where the files were other than performing an exhausting search on all my drives. After implementing the current model, files can be found in a matter of couple of clicks 🙂

Processing:

  1. Used Lightroom 2.5 to convert the raw image with some basic adjustments to white balance with a slight crop.
  2. In Photoshop CS4, added a curves layer to get some contrast.
  3. A Hue/Saturation layer with some decrease in saturation.
  4. Resized the image for web and a smart-sharpen filter.
  5. Saved as jpeg and added keywords and metadata through Bridge.

Note: A special thanks to Hitesh & Rohan – my cricket buddies, for helping me to get this new format of displaying Before/After images. Readers of this blog know how much I hate messing with CSS or any front-end elements of the web. All I had to do was to just ask these guys :). Due to the nature of this wordpress template, the images change their display position. I’m yet to figure out why its so, but till then bare with it 🙂
