YN467 fired through the softbox at 1/16 of its full power.
This was shot out of desperation. I’ve got myself a set of cheap speedlites (YN467). They perform good enough for my play. I needed some light modifies to keep the light softer, so with the help of a flickr friend, found some cheap solutions (shoot through umbrellas and swivel stands). The modifies hasn’t yet arrived, but out of desperation I had to try something. So I built a small softbox using a packaging box + aluminium food wrap + Parchment paper.
Its not big, but will do the job to play around. At least small product shots can lit very well with this. I wanted to test it for portraits, but all the models are currently sleeping and they don’t suffer from insomnia. So the model was the turtle soft-toy. This one happens to be liked by everybody in the house and when the kids go to sleep, I get my time with it 🙂
